The award ceremony for the 2016 competition took place in January of 2017 at a Gala Event in Munich held in conjunction with the Digital Life Design Conference. First prize went to Hanan Lipskin & Doron Yakobi, founders of an Israeli-based ‘Keepers’, an app that protects children from cyberbullying. The second prize went to Erich Lehmann, founder of German-based ‘Academy’ a platform that supports ‘the teacher in facilitating the learning experience and make the best out of every student’, whilst Russian- based MeetForCharity founded by Olga Fler, a platform that uses crowdfunding and networking to help charities raise money by connecting people, came third. T H E 2 0 1 7 E V E N T The award ceremony took place at the Slush Media’s world leading start-up event in Helsinki. First prize was awarded to Hans Jørgen Wiberg and Christian Erfurt (Denmark) founders of BeMyEyes, a free app designed to bring site to the blind and visually impaired. The second prize went to Israel based Eli Beer, founder of United Hatzalah Israel. The Moscowitz Life Compass app is the most advanced location technology available with the ability to locate the 5 closest EMS responders within 3 seconds of an emergency. The third prize went to Russian- born Mikhail Lanchikov, CEO of EyeMove.IO an app that diagnoses Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease using technology that can detect based on eye movement.
