The President of the Conference of European Rabbis (CER), Chief Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt, received the International Charlemagne Prize 2024
The Charlemagne Prize 2024 was awarded to Chief Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt and the European Jewish communities.
Jewish life, an indestructible and enduring part of the European structure, is not only a part of European history but a living and integral part of its present and future, as the Charlemagne Prize Board of Directors recognises.
A clear signal should be sent against the rampant and dangerous anti-Semitism – because there is no place for anti-Semitism in Europe. Chief Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt takes a clear position both religiously and politically.
He is involved in global interfaith dialogue, for example, with the Vatican or Muslim clergy.
