In January 2025, a new CER Rabbinical Leadership Program cohort began with 32 rabbis from 12 countries. Most of the program is delivered online through weekly Zoom meetings, but 20 rabbis attended an opening seminar in person in Munich. The three-day seminar in Munich offered the young rabbis the opportunity to study together, get to know each other, and meet the leading members of the Conference of European Rabbis, such as: Chief Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt, the President of the CER, Rabbi Moshe Lebel, the rabbinical Director of the CER, Gady Gronich, the CEO and Chief of Staff to the President of the CER, and Rabbi Aharon Shmuel Baskin the Secretary-General of the CER. In addition to professional skills, workshops, and training, the young rabbis also met with the Commissioner for the Fight against Antisemitism, Dr. Ludwig Spänle, and visited the District Court, where they met with representatives from the Attorney General's Office, which is responsible for the legal handling of anti-Semitic crimes.
